It’s an evening of massive shoulder pads and epic cat fights as the Dumpsta Players perform their tribute to 80s nighttime soap, “Dynasty”!

In honor of friends who recently passed from cancer, including Charlotte CardonickGloria Casarez and Dumpsta Players performer, Sarah Marshall, a portion of the proceeds from this performance will go to the Sara Weaver Fund. Sara succumbed to leukemia in 2002.

Hollaback is a movement to end street harassment powered by a network of local activists
around the world.  We work together to better understand street harassment, to ignite public conversations, and to develop innovative strategies to ensure equal access to public spaces.

DP Arts Consortium Performs at NAMAC Conference

NAMACMembers of DP Arts Consortium and the Dumpsta Players helped PhillyCAM produce the 2014 NAMAC Awards. On Thursday, August 7, 2014 Philadelphia played host to the Alliance For Community Media/NAMAC (National Conference for Public Access Media) Conference, held at WHYY Studios. DP Arts/Dumpsta Players assisted the awards ceremony performing an opening act, emceeing the event and escorting award winners.

Want to break into drag but don’t know where to start? Want to learn how to be fabulous onstage? Want to be inspired by Philly’s long and diverse history of drag cultures? Come to our Drag 101 workshop where you can learn from some of Philadelphia’s most renown drag performers. This hands-on workshop offers instruction on how to create a drag persona, how to find music and costumes, how to create choreography, and how to put together a drag act on a budget.

Presenters include Ricky Paul (Artistic Director of the Dumpsta Players), Sara Sherr (performer with the Dumpsta Players, and hostess of Sing your Life Karaoke), and Messapotamia Lefae (post-gender sartorialist, and performer with the Dumpsta Players).
